President’s Address
Welcome to all of you! And thank you for being here on for our Saturday monthly meeting, taking your time to hear from our Republican leaders. This election year is extremely important. Each of us can do our part to help our party to get Republicans elected. Collectively, we need to work to make this happen this year. Remember to talk to your family, friends and neighbors, tell them what you know and even better, make sure they are registered to vote and then really DO go vote!
We need to thank our great board members for all they do. Each of our board members has different tasks to help make these meetings happen every month. Give them some applause. (PAUSE) They deserve it!
Here we go again! Another month and it’s hard to choose from an array of topics. Firstly, let me say the ladies in French class said I should speak about peace and love. What do you think? Somehow, I don’t think that would be quite the right topic for today!
So let’s talk turkey. We need the SAVE America Act passed. Please call our senators and tell them they need to do so.
The Supreme Court just ruled on the Voting Rights ACT striking down a majority Black district which has now amplified the national redistricting battles. Republicans need a maximus strategy to make gains and to pick up 8-12 seats. We have a fighting chance to keep the House and the Senate now! And, if Hakeem Jeffries keeps talking, he may help Republicans pull the rabbit out of the hat to get this done.
Today, I would like to take the time to talk about our great President from a different perspective. We have watched Donald Trump rise before sunrise, move from city to city, answer questions on airport runways before even reaching his destination, and keep working long after midnight. We have watched him carry responsibilities that most people could never imagine, then return the next morning ready to do it again!
We have watched him honor soldiers who felt forgotten. We have watched him stand beside his team - JD, Marco, Pete, Susie, etc. – and treat them with respect and trust. We have watched acts of kindness happen quietly: helping families, encouraging strangers, making calls, writing letters, opening doors, giving without needing applause.
At the White House National Day of Prayer, Dr. Phil McGraw shared a personal story that caught many people off guard. He said he spent time privately with President Trump. No cameras, no audience, no media, just the two of them talking. According to Dr. Phil, what he saw was very different from the public image many people know.
Dr. Phil described Trump as a man of faith, conviction, and someone who genuinely wants America to have stronger values, compassion, and spiritual grounding. He emphasized that this wasn’t a campaign moment or a public performance. There were no microphones, no speeches and no one to impress. Trump showed sincerity and heart. For years, many Americans have only seen Trump through headlines, rallies, debates, and constant media coverage. But Dr. Phil suggested there may be another side – the person people don’t see when the cameras are off.
Whether people agree or disagree politically, moments like these raise an important question: how much do we really know about someone based only on what we see in public? If someone you deeply trusted told you they had seen a side of a leader in private – would it change your perspective?
They never stop long enough to acknowledge the weight a leader carries.
Gratitude matters. Appreciation matters. Encouragement matters. Sometimes two simple words – Thank You - can mean more than people realize.
He already had the money. The properties. The lifestyle. He didn’t need this job. He didn’t need the hate. But he chose the responsibility. He
chose America. Every morning he puts the country before himself. That’s not politics, that’s sacrifice!
So today I want to say this clearly: President Trump, we see the effort. We see the long hours. We see the criticism endured. We see the determination to keep going when many would quit. We see the personal cost that comes with public service.
May God give you the strength, wisdom and protection each day. May He remind you that many people notice more than they say! And may He continue to guide you and this nation forward!
