Speakers confirmed for our February 21 meeting include our very own CD-8 Representative Abe Hamadeh running to keep and expand upon our thin Republican majority in the U.S.
Congress, plus two candidates running to help us gain state-wide Republican control of Arizona.
Abe won election handily in 2024, after Debbie Lesko stepped down to run for - and become - a member of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Abe, a first-generation immigrant, served as a Maricopa County prosecutor. He also served in uniform as a U.S. Army Reserve Captain and Intelligence Officer .
They are Mr. Andy Biggs, running for Governor, and Mr. Warren Petersen, a candidate for Arizona Attorney General. Biggs seeks to replace Katie Hobbs (pardon my language!) Petersen would replace our liberal LGBTQ Attorney General, Kris Mayes.
Warren Petersen has served as Majority Leader in the Arizona House of Representatives and is currently President of the state Senate. Andy Biggs has represented Arizona Congressional District 5 in the U.S. House of Representatives since January 2017.
